Now that you have reviewed all the dates, times, and locations, you’re ready to apply!
Please note that once you begin your online application, you will not be able to save it and return to it later. We strongly encourage you to compose your answers to the short essay questions in another document, then copy and paste them into the online form. The short essay questions are below.
PLEASE NOTE: Your application submission will trigger an email to your references with a brief online form for completion within ONE WEEK. Your application is incomplete until we receive both references. It is your responsibility to communicate this process to your references and indicate the type of reference (spiritual or leadership) you are requesting. Please ask them to check their junk or spam folder if they do not receive it.
Please provide a brief biographical sketch. Your sketch should include a personal, educational, and professional overview in approximately 150 words or less. If accepted into CLA, your sketch will be publicly viewable on the CLA website.
Please provide a brief spiritual autobiography. A spiritual autobiography is the story of your life, focused specifically on your faith journey. In highlighting spiritual influences and milestones, you might include, but are not limited or bound to: a description of your relationship with God, challenges and questions that have impacted you, sense of vocation, relationship to organized religion, prayer life and/or spiritual practices, growth and evolution in your beliefs, etc.
The purpose of this question is to get a sense of how you reflect on your spiritual experience. There is no wrong answer or expectation of your response. Please limit your response to no more than 500 words.
What type of leader does our world need today? What strengths do you bring to this and where do you seek development? (Please limit your reply to 500 words or less).
CLA's pillars are: FAITH, COMMUNITY and LEADERSHIP. Why are you looking for leadership formation in the context of a spiritual community? (Please limit your reply to no more than 250 words.)
